the pilgrim’s anthem

what is the anthem the pilgrim sings
to inspire pain in vain
where the camel’s back has broken,
he picks up the pieces
to fumble making something new.
his sole is worn,
callused, confused –
corroding in time will take its toll.
unadulterated,
he moves sporadically.
the footprints cross,
and he sees;
he’s still moving.

how long does it take for a pilgrim to realise he doesn’t know where he’s going

Philippians 3:14 – I press on toward the goaltenders for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

“Quek, when you run look up; it helps when you know where you’re going.”
