the Lord is good, too good
that my heart would stop from
unfailing faith, He stands too true
for a liar’s
a God so beautiful,
every mirror would cry out in
His kindness of a depth
deeper than the wrinkles
of the saints of old.
this is my God.
He inhabits the highest of heavens,
commands the greatest adoration,
demands the deepest of worship;
more enchanting than any beauty
this world has to offer.
yet it is here,
in the dust and mud,
in the sand and rain,
in my joy and pain,
that my God would choose to spend these moments with me.
truly, truly, in the wilderness of my heart I have found Him again.
