sky blue

the horizon cannot contain
Your infinite beauty.
in a sea of blue, Your grace revealed
to one as wretched as me.
the hand that put the stars in place
would dare to touch my face,
to wipe away the salt –
is that how oceans are made?
the tears of those who saw Him such,
a God of mercy, one true embrace.
He paints the sky and clouds above,
yet in those moments, loves me so.
here I stand, enchanted, enthralled,
not by beauty,
but by the love I recieved
in spite of all.
the earth though long forgot your touch,
still we find traces,
in little, in much.
in time I hope to find again,
Your infinite beauty
the horizon cannot contain.
