cycle back into the crowd

I’d rather join your ranks,
of the deaf and blind,
sitting on the sideline –
apathy and sympathy,
a chorus of pity.
for the social excess,
those digressed.

then again you seem to fit,
into the mould of my liking.
like the rest in a crowd;
history circles back,
to form a symphony of repeated
beats on the back,
and hurts in the chest.
