wallflower

a sudden blow and crack,
the flower fades to black.

there never was a dull moment,
knowing, or just observing.
creating (conceiving) of a world outside,
the outskirts of the sights,
the fringes of the sounds;
why the frown?
panning a worldview, and coming to a close –
in the depths of despair,
the heart reveals.
to be so close yet so far,
like peering through a telescope,
magnifying pain,
through a retina of disdain.

a sudden blow and crack,
the flower fades to black.
