83 lonely minutes

shark eyed sharp eyes;
course the concrete and steel
laid out in tracks.
daytime faces pass no regard
to strangers standing
in the dark.
set on a path, lost
in directionless destinations;
infinity of steel bars shining
repetition racing.
a trainwreck soul on a train bound to wreck
recalling past stations, and faces passed.
the green light beeps;
step over the yellow line,
it’s only there to guide.
