crawling on broken legs

Two crutches
For too broken legs;
Arms attentioned
For shoulders to lie on.
Healing, together,
Slowly.
Don’t walk just yet;
I’ll be there for you.
It takes two hands to clap,
But only one to raise.
And when my leg’s broken,
We’ll lie on the pavement.
Walking is for when you’re strong,
But when you’re weak?
Perhaps it’s best just to crawl.
